A year and a half ago my friend Kyle and I took a late Fall walk through a forested area in our home town in Vermont. It was an area I was mostly familiar with, having trained for cross country skiing and track on the hills of that terrain while in High School sports. But Kyle introduced me to an inhabitant who had residence there all the while, but I had never met.
Resting for the past 40+ years was the rusted remains of a small car slowly being buried by leaves, branches and trees of the surrounding forest. I was enthralled! Out came the camera to photograph this aged forest dweller from every angle.
'I am going to use this in a painting some day!' I stated to Kyle.
